Greetings, hacks and hackers, and happy Friday. Hacks/Hackers now officially has more than 50,000 members across 63 Meetup groups – and tens of thousands more connected on Facebook, Google and other channels. Let’s take a look at what these trailblazing groups are up to next week.

Chapter spotlight:

Warsaw held its first meeting ever, which brought more than 60 journalists and techies from various media outlets in Poland.

Organizer Jakub Górnicki said they focused mostly on the tech possibilities for investigative reporting.

“Krzysiek Madejski from Code for Poland showcased many tech solutions which can be used by investigative reporters and award winning reporter Bianka Mikołajewska shared her experiences from many years of investigative experience. She said, “Every time I publish a story I am sued. I won every time.”
